Today, we will take a look at DreamTeam’s new staffing flow. But what exactly does the phrase “staffing flow” mean? Although it sounds technical, it is actually very simple. “Staffing” is essentially finding players for your team or joining a team yourself and “flow” is the steps taken in order to do that. Basically, we will be taking a look at how you, as a Player, can go from having no team to winning a major. Well, maybe not winning a major but definitely finding a team.
And if you are a Team Owner and find yourself here, be sure to check out our article on how to find players here.
The staffing flow options will vary depending on whether you have the soon-to-be-added Premium Team and Premium Profile subscription or not. We are going to walk through the staffing flow process as a standard user and will explain the Premium subscriptions in detail in a couple of weeks.
Player Without a Team
You have two options for joining a team, applying to a team vacancy or simply being invited to join a team by the Team Owner. Applying to a vacancy is easy and works much like applying for a job opening. You search for the team you want to join and click the “Apply” button. Applying to a vacancy can be done in several ways.
The most obvious way is to apply to a team is to visit the Teams section and do a quick filter search for the type of team you are looking for.
Once you have located the team you want to join, simply click the “Apply” button.
To keep track of your applications, use the area called the “Q-bar”. It is located on the left side of the screen and serves as a quick-access menu. It looks like this. (Our recommendation is to memorize the icon functions as their appearance can change slightly depending upon which screen you are currently on.)
To check your applications from the Q-bar, you must click on the “Recruitment” icon. Think of the recruitment section as the “headquarters” of finding a team. Under the applications tab, you can view the details of the application, chat with the team owner, or withdraw your application.
Now You Wait
Your application has been sent to the Team Owner. The Team Owner can select roles for you to choose from and make you an offer. If the owner decides to make you an offer, the offer will show up in your Player recruitment section. It will look like this.
Once the Team Owner makes you an offer, it is time to choose your roles and accept the offer. And boom! You are on the team!
Team Owner Invites
The second way to join a team is to be invited to the team by a Team Owner. The process is the same except you don’t actually apply to a team. You will see a team offer in the Recruitment Offer section. At that point, all you have to do is choose your role and accept the offer.
So there you have it. Two ways of joining a team. If you can’t find a team, try changing that ridiculous player name or profile pic 😃
