CHECK PLAYER RANK AND STATS
Two months after releasing, Apex Legends has just launched Season 1 and its Battle Pass in the Wild Frontier update. Fans had been clamoring for weeks about release dates having come and gone, but it was announced on March 18 that Season 1 would arrive the following day. And, at 10 am PDT on March 19, it did.
By purchasing and downloading the, basically, $10 Battle Pass (950 Apex Coins), players will get access to weapon skins, banner frames, XP boosts, and more. If you’re flush with cash, you can opt for the $30 (2800 Apex Coins) Premium Battle Pass and skip to level 25. Whichever tier of Battle Pass you decide to go for, three Wild Frontier Skins (Wraith, Lifeline, and Mirage) will be unlocked immediately.
Respawn also announced that if players buy the pass any time before the season ends, the rewards that they would have acquired, via their level, will be retroactively applied. So, if you decide that now isn’t the time to buy, keep playing and when you do decide to part with some of your hard-earned cash, you won’t have to start from level 1.
For everyone who makes the choice to skip Season 1 but still wants to play and get some cool, new stuff, there are still rewards to be earned.
– 1 Wild Frontier Legend skin
– 5 Apex Packs
– 18 Wild Frontier stat trackers
In addition to the cool Season 1 update and the Battle Pass, Apex Legends fans now have access to Octane, the adrenaline junkie. This new, playable legend is a mix between a Mad Max character and Evel Knievel. Were all of the Apex Legends Octane leaks confirmed? Here’s his kit and a little background info on him.
If it doesn’t involve diving, leaping, plummeting, or racing, then Octane wants nothing to do with it. Always the life of the party, Octane truly believes winning the Championship isn’t enough… not if you didn’t cheat death at least twice to get there.
Passive: Swift Mend
– While not taking damage, Octane restores 1 health every 2 seconds.
– Move 30% faster for 6 seconds. Costs health to use. While active, Octane is affected less by attacks that cause slowdown. 2-second recharge.
Ultimate: Launch Pad
– Deployable jump pad that catapults players through the air. Takes 90 seconds to recharge.
– 12,000 Legend Tokens
– 750 Apex Coins
The Respawn team has promised that Season 1 will be a learning experience for both their team as well as the millions of Apex players with the Lead Product Manager, Lee Horn saying, “Season 1 is just the first version on a long road of improvements, updates, and tweaks.”
